How to Make Simple Pipe on SketchUp Using Follow Me Tool

If you are a sketchup artist in engineering, pipe is the object you will always draw. with a winding path, the pipe will be very difficult for those of you who do not know how to make it quickly on SketchUp

On SketchUp you can create pipes very easily and quickly with  help of a plugin tool called Follow me tool. this tool is the default tool on SketchUp so you do not need to download it.

Here is a tutorial on how to make a pipe by using follow me tool.

• First make a pipe line that will be made. You can see an example image below

• By using bezier spline   make a curve on the pipe bend. First you download the plugin and install it on your SketchUp because the default tool on SketchUp can not create a curved line

• Make a circle with a diameter as you wish. The circle will become the pipe diameter as a whole

• Then click follow me tool and click the surface of the circle and follow the direction of the pipe line to completion.

• Or if you can use the second way. Select entire pipe line then click follow me tool and then select the surface of the circle. The circle will follow the pipeline as you choose.
