How to Give Lighting Effect Using Twilight Render Hobby on SketchUp

Lighting is one of the factor that can beautify the image model that we have render. One of the lighting effects we can do is to provide lamp to the closed room like an interior room that does not have access to light.

In a closed interior space, the light from the outside will be limited so the image model will become dark when you render it. In this situation, additional lighting is needed so the model image becomes visible and radiant.

On the Twilight rendering tool has several choices of types of lighting / lamp that you can use for your interior space. Here's an explanation and how to use the light effects on the Twilight rendering tool.
  • To make a lamp, choose create light   and create a lamp by clicking on 3 points like in the picture below.

  • If the lamp has been formed then choose the type of light you want.

  • You can also adjust the brightness of the lamp by changing the number of power and Efficacy as you wish.

In the Twilight rendering tool you can change the type of lamp according to your wishes. you can follow this explanation how to use them.

1. Point Light

You can use this point light when the interior room that you design need sufficient light when rendering. You can see examples bellow how to use this light type.

3. Projector Light

Projector Light is a type of light that will show the projection of the image that we set before. You can see an example of using Projector Light in the image below.

4. IES Light

You can use this IES Light if you need a lamp that is attached to the building wall. The resulting light pattern depends on the type of Light IES used. To be able to use IES Light, you must download the IES light file here.

That's all types of lighting that you can use on the Twilight rendering tool and hopefully this post is useful for all of you.
