In this tutorial I will explain to you how to make a Ship on SketchUp as shown picture below.
This tutorial is intermediate level and you can do it easily. i will explain to you step by step how to make Shiplike this picture bellow manually. if you following this tutorial, it will upgrade your skill and knowledge in 3D modeling using SketchUp.
Before we start this tutorial, you must install this plugin tool bellow on your SketchUp.
1. Bezier Spline
2. Curviloft
Download plugin tool Here
OK lets start the tutorial.
Step 1
Import ship body plan and use bazier spline
to make a hull line consisting of 20 lines as shown below

Step 4
Use the flip along command to make the right side of the ship in a straight line with the left side of the ship
Step 5
Draw a bow and stern shape like picture below
Step 6
to form a ship's hull
Step 7
Create a curved line like the image below to create a smoother stern and connect using curviloft tool
Step 8
Use curviloft tool, to make the main deck of the ship and the bottom of the ship
Step 9
Use the flip along command to connect the whole hull as shown below

Create forecastle deck and bulwark using curviloft tool
and make a building on the boat as shown below

Make a line in SketchUp and divide it into 20 parts like this one below
Step 3
Duplicate the body plan line according to the sequence of lines that have been divided so that it forms the image below.
Step 4
Use the flip along command to make the right side of the ship in a straight line with the left side of the ship
Step 5
Draw a bow and stern shape like picture below
Step 6
to form a ship's hull
Step 7
Create a curved line like the image below to create a smoother stern and connect using curviloft tool
Step 8
Use curviloft tool
