In this tutorial I will explain to you how to make Chain on SketchUp as shown picture below.
This tutorial is intermediate level and you can do it easily. i will explain to you step by step how to make chain like this picture bellow manually.  if you following this tutorial, it will upgrade your skill and knowledge in 3D modeling using SketchUp.

Before we start this tutorial, you must install this plugin tool bellow on your SketchUp.
1. Bezier Spline
2. CLF component stringer

Plugin tool (download )

Step 1
Make a chain shape as shown below

Step 3
Right-click on the curved line then convert it to a polyline segmentor

Then fill in how many segments of the curved line are made. This segment represents the number of parts of the chain that we will make. In the example below I will write 20 segments so that the chain that I will make is 20 parts of the chain

Step 4
Create a chain into a component and make sure that the part of the chain is in the middle position of the origin axis in the component. The position of the chain to the origin as shown below

Step 5
Select the chain component and the curved line. Use component stringer command as shown in the picture below to make chains
