If you guys feel just making a simple model but the resulting file size is so big. its because there is something hidden and unused in the model you make. Example of the above problem is if you use a picture texture used on your model after that you change your model with new texture, then old image texture file will be attached to SketchUp file and it make file size of your SketchUp more bigger than before. To solve it here is a tutorial how to remove hidden unused things on SketchUp so it will reduce the size of your sketchup file.
- First click the window tab and select the model info
- In the model info settings select the statistics tab
- If already entered in statistics tab then click purge unused. if you do that, all unused files in the sketchup model you created will disappear so it will reduce the file size
