How to Make Tree Manually on SketchUp

In this tutorial I will explain to you guys how to create a tree on SketchUp. To make a tree in Sketchup there is plugin tool that can be used to make tree automatically called 3d Tree Maker, but there is no harm to us to try to create a tree manually. 

This tutorial is intermediate level and you can do it easily. i will explain to you step by step how to make tree like this picture bellow manually.  if you following this tutorial, it will upgrade your skill and knowledge in 3D modeling using SketchUp.

Before we start this tutorial, you must install this plugin tool bellow on your SketchUp.

CLF Component stringer (download)

Step 1 1

Make stem and twigs as shown below. For no 1 is stem and no 2 is twig

Step  2

Import a leaf image with a bitmap format as shown below. Just search on google for the desired leaf

Step 3

Make editing to leaf image using explode command

Then create a line that divides the leaf as below

Then make the leaves become curved as shown below

Step  4

Make a line on the twigs to place the leaves as shown in the picture below

Then change the leaf to component and change the position of the leaves in the component just like the picture below

Step  5

Use component stringer Command  on each line made on the branch

and here the result

Step  6

Also make a line on the stem to place the twigs as shown below

Then change the twig into component and change the position of twig to be like in the picture below

Step  7

Use component stringer Command  on each line made on the Stem

and here the result

Step 8

Make a line like picture below to put the stem on the tree

Then create a tree shape like the picture below

Step  9

make the stem become a component and change the position as shown below

Step  10

Use component stringer Command  on each line on the tree

And the following is the result of the finished and complete tree
