How to Calculate Length, Area and Volume of Model on SketchUp


One important information in a 3-dimensional model is the calculation of the length, area and volume of an object.   • First, open the SketchUp application and make a model.
  • Then activate the Entity Info tab by selecting Windows> Default Tray> Entity Info

To find out the area and length by selecting a face or line on the object then look at the information seen on the Entity Info tab

To find out the volume of your object, make the object become a group first by selecting the object and right-click then select make group. And look at the volume information on the Entity Info tab. If the volume information does not appear it means that the object has a hole that must be repaired.
