How To Use Style Builder

Style builder is a SketchUp built-in app that is reserved for those of you who purchase SketchUp pro versions. This software serves to create a SketchUp style view based on the user's wishes. If you are an architect who wants to create your own sketch lines on your 3d model then this software can help you very easily.how to use this software ?? Here the following tutorial how to use it.

Introduction

The picture above looks at the general look of the style builder and I divide the display area into 3 main areas.

• For the yellow box is a tab of the line drawing folder imported into the style builder.
• For the red box is the line drawing setting box that used in the style
• is for the green box is a preview of the style that we make.

How to Use

First we do is create a line drawing on third-party software. Here I will create line style using adobe photoshop.

Open photoshop then open the file and select new.

Change the unit size to pixel then specify the size according to the query. For the style builder itself has a certain size in drawing lines include 32 x16 pixels, 64 x16 pixels, 128 x16 pixels, 256 x 16 pixels and 512 x 16 pixels. The size affects the length of the line in your sketchup model. If you draw a size of 32 x 16 pixels then the line on your sketchup model that has a length of about 32 pixels will turn into the line that you draw earlier.

Then draw a line to your wish. Like the example below and save and place it in a folder.

In the style builder, click the stroke tab then select load from folder and open the folder containing the drawing line that has been created. Then on the left screen will appear images that have been made..

Then drag the line and take it in the place of the line arrangement according to the size that has been made. In this box you can also set how many lines of each size and line thickness you want.  

When done, then the line that you create will appear the results in the preview box as shown below.

If it is finished then save your work. If you want to display the style you created on sketchup, then put your style builder file on C :/program file/SketchUp/SketchUp2016/Styles dan buat folder baru 

Log in your SketchUp and open the style settings. In the dialog box select a style then the folder where your style builder file will appear and then go in and select it.
